Our last post talked about the charges against a second-grade teacher. The man, David, was arrested for looking at child pornography in 2010 and making a video of a partially naked girl about three years ago. Although he was arrested on Tuesday, the allegations detailed in the police reports are for sex crimes that happened years ago.

In addition to the sex crimes charges that we wrote about in our last post, the man is also facing criticism for an unusual collection.

When police were searching the man's home, they found several pairs of girls' underwear designed for children between the ages of six and eight. Some of the underwear was used, but David reported that it was not from any of his family members. He stated that he found the underwear when it had been left behind in pools, bathrooms and changing rooms.

At this point, there have not been any accusations that David abused or photographed any of his students. In addition, he also passed a background for the school in 2010 -- the same year that many of the allegations are from.

Regardless, David was put on paid administrative leave, and a letter was sent to parents at the school informing them of the charges. The school also put together a crisis team to deal with the situation.

Before the arrest, David was popular with students and the other teachers. Unfortunately, regardless of the outcome of the case, it may be difficult for David to rebuild his good reputation with the students, their parents and the teacher.
